Answers to common questions about Willow Park Honey, ordering online and looking after your honey. We are a small family-run beekeeping business based near Halstead, Essex.

Where does your Essex honey come from?

Our apiaries are between Halstead and Toppesfield in Essex. Seasonal forage, including borage, gives each crop its own flavour and colour. Check the individual product description for the honey you are buying, or ask Adam about the current batch.

Do you deliver honey across the UK?

Yes, we accept online orders for UK delivery. Enter your address at checkout to see the available services and delivery charges for your order. Please contact us if a delivery option does not appear for your postcode.

Can I collect my order near Halstead?

Local collection is available by arrangement. Choose collection at checkout where offered, or contact us to confirm the location, stock and a suitable time before travelling.

Which shops stock Willow Park Honey?

Our honey is stocked by Greenstead Green Post Office, Petersfield Village Farm Shop in Gosfield, and Gosfield Community Shop. See our honey stockists and addresses. Please check directly with the shop for current stock and opening hours.

What honey sizes can I buy?

Choose a 340g jar, a bundle of three 340g jars containing 1.02kg of honey, or a 70g honey pouch. Our 200ml chilli honey is a separate sweet-and-spicy option. Check each listing for availability.

Which award did your honey win?

Why has my honey crystallised?

Honey can naturally form crystals and become thicker or set. Different honeys crystallise at different rates. Crystallisation alone does not mean the honey has gone off, and it is not a reliable test of purity. Enjoy it spread on toast, or gently warm a suitable glass jar in warm water if you prefer a runnier texture. Keep water out of the honey and avoid boiling water.

How should I store honey?

Keep the container tightly closed in a dry cupboard at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Use a clean, dry spoon and follow the storage instructions and best-before date on the label.

Can babies have honey?

Do not give honey to babies under 12 months. See the NHS advice on foods to avoid for babies.
